For contributed third party builds not necessarily configured like the main product.

[CLOSED] Mention of 3rd party builds on Wikipedia

Unread post by Antonius32 » 2014-06-26, 16:14

Currently, there's no mention on Pale Moon's Wikipedia page of the various 3rd party builds that are being maintained by Pale Moon enthusiasts. My suggestion: if the people responsible for the respective builds could supply me with (a brief description of) the facts that should be mentioned, I'd be willing to write a paragraph about endorsed third party builds of Pale Moon, and add this information to the Pale Moon page on Wikipedia.

If you think this is a good idea (or not), just let me know, either through the forum, or by pm'ing me...

PM (private messaging ^^) on the forum seems to not work. Btw I regularly see some of your messages (and just your) as unread when I had read them already, today. oO

That said, I think the contributors shouldn't have to write a text for wikipédia. All the needed info is already available.
Analyzing what should be mentioned & how is the work of the writer of the article.

You'll find infos there :
Sumozi : http://binaryoutcast.com/software/projects/sumozi/
Pale Moon for Linux : http://sourceforge.net/p/pm4linux/wiki/Home/
AVX version : http://forum.palemoon.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=4733

I agree. Thank you for the links; I will look into the information at hand and see if I feel I can make any improvements to the Wiki page.
