Pale Moon for Windows95 / Windows98? Any hope to merge RetroZila?

Hello.

Do you know about RetroZilla it's a Firefox fork targeted at Windows 95 and Windows 98.

What about more diversity in Pale Moon if developers contribute to the code? This could even be good at optimizing code too.

Despite the official versions and the "not officially supported" (who cares about that crap? actually you can have a more secure Windows system by using unofficial patches than official ones!).

There's communities like MSFN that are full of stubborn users of ancient Microsoft operating systems!

Can Pale Moon Team be more open minded and rebel instead adopting official mainstream policies? Please! ;)

Kind regards.

I'm afraid you'll be on your own trying to figure out how to get Pale Moon to build with an older compiler that can still target Windows 9x as a platform.
Out current VS version isn't able to, and with the planned move to a later version that will make the source code more in line with C++11, it'll become even more difficult.

I wish you the best of luck in your efforts, though, and if a working build comes out of it, I'll be more than happy to make it an official 3rd party build.

As an aside, RetroZilla is a fork of Gecko 1.8.1 -- you may actually have more luck with our Gecko 1.9.2 branch (Pale Moon 3.6.32) than our current code base which is very unlikely to be compatible in the rendering department with such an old OS.
