I'm not sure where I'm supposed to discuss this. I read a recommendation to use Adblock Latitude rather than Adblock Edge here on these forums.

1. I still can't seem to enable ads on duckduckgo.com (I've tried a few "fitler rules" I've been suggested, I can't seem to find any official documentation -- there's no DOCUMENTATION LINK; it's ridiculous)
2. How can I add filters to block every link to Facebook, as well as every news website I know? I hope to block every news website I can. I'll expand my filter list any time I find another.

Assistance will be massively appreciated. Judging from what I know, the filter syntax which originated by Adblock Plus is bullshit. If I ever have time, I'll write an add-on for marking rubbish content links, rather than simply censoring them -- because any "news" site is worthless, stupid insulting garbage; I prefer to study informative documents rather than be pandered by rhetoric -- but I am so busy these days. Being pulled around by pandering bullshit written by losers trying to sustain their shitty income while I'm genuinely attempting to study a substantial question doesn't help, however.

For blocking sites, you might want to try BlockSitePlus. You have to access options via Addons Manager but other than that it works well. Clipboard contents will appear in BlockSitePlus Options Quick Add box (can be edited there before saving).

I don't want to add all possible sub-domains, with both http:// and https://

If I wanted to be more specific, I'd be more specific.

Since I block Facebook on all four of my computuers, I don't rely on add-ons. I block Facebook in Windows 7 using the HOSTS file and in linux, I use the Domain Blocker which is an integral part of linux Mint 17.

Why not block it at the router? That way there's only 1 device to configure.

Because I don't have router access because I'm a dweeb loser.
