...Is that even possible? :wtf: They're two completely different operating systems.

I do it, no tutorial needed really. Just follow the on-screen help on both devices and you're all set. Everything but add-ons\extensions will sync. I have several desktop\laptop systems and 2 android devices and everything syncs just great.

Good for you x-15a2!

What gets me is the "recovery key" bit.
I'm a registered user but where the "heck" is that r key?!

Besides, the point of this thread is to find the tutorial that should be specific to PM and not to Firefox (as in the tutorial) since the server process is no longer the same right?

There is no more "recovery key" in the Firefox tutorial.

You don't need to do anything with the recovery key (except make a note of it in a safe place).

Maybe someone who has time can make an illustrated guide for this. The basic steps are:
  1. Set up Pale Moon Sync on your desktop. Create a new account, etc.
  2. On the desktop, select "Pair a device" in Sync (Options -> Sync).
  3. Grab your Android device, and select "set up Sync".
  4. The Android device will give you a 12-character code.
  5. Enter this code in your desktop Pale Moon.
  6. It will now automatically communicate server, keys, and other data it needs across the internet through the setup server.
  7. Done!

Thank you Moonchild.

The problem(s) is, i don't recall having received a "recovery key", don't know how to find it and don't really want to setup another account (3rd one with glitches in transition period).

Also, PM help file should be sent to PM help, not Firefox.
I know, another "to do list item" and that's okay.

It works just like FF did before Mozilla changed the sync method. Here's the sync page from M's reviewers' guide that provides as close as I've seen to a tutorial. By the way, if things aren't acting right on your Android device, you may need to go into Accounts and remove the PM4A account, then you can start over. Here's the tutorial:

That's good, but as i said, i don't want to create a new account since i already have one.
I just did a fresh install and i don't know how to get that "recovery key" since there is no apparent "lost R.K., send it to my email address" and if i can't enter R.K., i can't click on "next".

Hence, the reason why i can't find the account to "unhook"?

Besides, if i can't sync my laptop browser, go figure how i can sync it with Android app.

Now i remember why i didn't really care for the Mozilla sync process for Firefox.
If you don't first look to find that wonderful Recovery Key when you first register for your new account, you are done for 'cause there's no way to have them send you a reminder.

So, i've setup a new account ;) , saved my recovery key info and followed the instructions as per newly adjusted PM browser help file  and things are just honky dory!!

Hope to see a modification in the sync process so that other users may appreciate this service too.
Not easy for non-geek like me! :coffee:

You don't need your recovery key if you don't care about recovering your data.
If you've lost your recovery key, then you can reset your account (which will remove all stored data) and generate a new key on your existing sync account.

To do this, you sign in to your existing account by entering e-mail and password, but not clicking the Next button, but the "i've lost my other device" link, instead.
