Not sure if this is the right place or not. I'm sure I'll be redirected if I'm not.
I use XP. I do not intend installing Win7, 8 or 10, so pls don't suggest it. I can't afford a new machine and bloated OS.
I keep trying to download v25 of Pale Moon but it fails every time, claiming an "unknown reason".
Can anyone suggest possible reasons for the problem. I've not had it happen before.

The wizard screen before the "update now" screen (which will fail by design) has a link on it that you are asked to click for more information. That would take you to a page with End of XP support information. Automatic updating is not possible on Windows XP because you have to switch product (either to the Atom version or the specific 3rd party XP builds, your choice). The "unknown" reason is given because of limitation in the updater program when a download is refused (this was done to prevent the download of a non-working version to your XP system).
