It looks like Mozilla just keeps on shooting themselves in both feet.

I like lightweight themes (which were called Personas previously) and specifically Solid colored themes. This morning I picked up a few to skin my Pale Moon and Firefox 24 ESR browsers. Well, it seems Mozilla now requires one to register to download a public add-on. Click on the link below to see what I see now. You'll be asked to provide Mozilla with a Username, Email Address and a Password if you want to "download a theme".

But here is the rub. At the link below Mozilla states, "Registration on AMO is not required if you simply want to download and install public add-ons" which is on the right hand side of the registration page.

Maybe Mozilla does not consider a Solid lightweight color skin theme as a public add-on anymore.

There are some STUPID people at Mozilla and a lot of them are the head honchos at the top of food chain at Mozilla. The last time I checked, add-ons were the realm of Jorge Villalobos and if this is his doing, he needs to be fired.

No wonder Firefox keeps losing desktop market to Chrome.

Uh, I don't need to register to add a theme if I test right now.

Heck, I just clicked Solid Themes / Glass - Black and it got installed! I'm not logged into AMO (not even registered any more since ... but that's another story).

Now I have to get rid of that theme....

Ummm. I can not get into those Solid colored themes. Maybe it's a corrupted cookie I have to delete.

Somehow, the cookie for those lightweight Solid themes got corrupted sometime between this morning and this afternoon.

I've been using that same cookie for that link in both Pale Moon and Firefox for the last 3 years. Maybe that had something to do with it.
