New Pale Moon Sync

With the new sync server, will there be a means for syncing to an Android tablet or phone? As I read the details, it sounds as if that will no longer be possible. That is one of the necessary functions that sync serves for me and I really hate to lose it. Admittedly, I can manually add new bookmarks, but having a means to sync to an Android device through Pale Moon's new server would be helpful.

Thanks

I'm wondering about this too. Syncing to Firefox Android is by far the most useful part of Firefox/Pale Moon Sync. I don't really think I could use a browser without any automated syncing to mobile.

It's possible, but only if you are using a version of Firefox on your mobile device that supports sync 1.1 (meaning v28 or below).
You will have to enter a custom sync server: https://sync.palemoon.net/

I am beyond V28 at this point as the Pale Moon update was a surprise to me and I'd already upgraded the Firefox on my devices. So it would appear that I am hosed with syncing as I am not able to find an old version of the Android version of Firefox for tablet. Guess it is all manual adding now. Darn!

Well, it blindsided me just as much - not much noise was made for this change over to Sync 1.5 (v29+) -- and it seems Mozilla even pushed it out before it was ready (but since it was apparently planned along with Australis...). I didn't particularly enjoy learning that sync suddenly didn't work anymore, either. Or that I had to rush to set up my own hosted sync server for Pale Moon. Or that I found that the server implementation is extremely limited in terms of how you can set it up.

I understand. :)

Maybe you will decide to make an Pale Moon Android app for us to use so that we will be able to easily use our favorite browser all the time. :)
