Re: What's your homepage?
The CEO of Yahoo, Marissa Mayer, she decided that everyone's My Yahoo page "needed" ANOTHER redesign and this one came about on January 31st, 2014. This new design was nothing more than a "mobile ecosystem". Not made for a desktop environment anymore.
I took a look at it and it instantly turned me off since my nice "compact" My Yahoo page layout was now hideously HUGE and there were ads everywhere. Lots of wasted space too since the thing was obviously designed for a touch phone. By huge, in order to go from the top of the page to the bottom of the page, I had to use my mouse and scroll......scroll......scroll.....and scroll some more just to reach the bottom of my personalize My Yahoo page.
This is why I haven't accessed my My Yahoo page since January 30th, 2014 and I have no intentions of ever going back and seeing my My Yahoo page ever again.

Re: What's your homepage?
Yahoo has also destroyed the groups by redesigning the GUI.......
Groups are useless now.

I have Google UK as my homepage, and no, I don't mind what they know about me as I have nothing to hide and I find their services useful both on DT, LT and mobile.

I was not being defensive, well maybe a little when I read the number of remarks about them both here and elsewhere.

Both my home page and new tab pages are about:home. Had to install an add-on (Homepage New Tab) for it to be like that, but I feel that it's worth it for the simplicity yet functionality it provides.

I kind of like the stock home page just wish I could modify it to place links to some of the places I like to visit.

I use the Super Start add-on. For aesthetic reasons mainly, not really required.
