Options for disabling images and javascript
Options for disabling images and javascript
Why did you remove the option to turn off or disable images and javascript. I might have to go back to palemoon 23+ to get those options back, since they are no longer in palemoon 24
Re: Options for disabling images and javascript
Disabling images is in the exact same location it was before, BUT it's no longer a checkbox (since a third option was added), so I don't know what the problem would be.
If you were using the disabing of javascript for malicious script blocking, you should use an add-on like NoScript instead, otherwise you will be breaking a lot of websites.
Disabling Javascript has been moved to Web Developer tools, because that is where it logically belongs. If you were using the disabing of javascript for malicious script blocking, you should use an add-on like NoScript instead, otherwise you will be breaking a lot of websites.

Re: Options for disabling images and javascript
Thank you for replying so quickly and explaining where they are and illustrating them.
Re: Options for disabling images and javascript
So what about the other JavaScript options that are not available in NoScript, and also got reset to their defaults in Firefox 23? Firefox took away these options because they thought that their users were too stupid to know how to use them. I sincerely hope this is not an opinion you share, as this attitude was why I left Firefox. (It is also the reason they are switching to Australis.)
Re: Options for disabling images and javascript
Perhaps bring back at least that Minor Javascript options in the option menu - would be a middle ground
Re: Options for disabling images and javascript
I used to have load pictures automatically checked and javascript checked but in the exceptions I unchecked all three items. That option is no longer available. Moonchild, can you please bring it back. I felt the browser was safer with those items unchecked. Thank you.
