What my Pale Moon looks like

Still using White Moon as my main theme, though now I'm on Windows 10 it's clear that this theme is basically a perfect match for this OS.

Since linux Mint 17.2 (Rafaela) Xfce has been released, I though I would load it up on my experimental laptop and take it for a test drive. I liked it so much, I installed in on both of my desktop tower computers. Below in the attachment is 64 bit linux Pale Moon running in 64 bit linux Mint 17.2 (Rafaela) in the Xfce desktop environment. My folders in the Bookmarks Toolbar are red in color and you can also see my 3 extensions which are NoSquint, Adblock Latitude and User Agent Overrider. The lightweight persona theme is, "Wood Feel".

You'll have to click on the attachment to get a bigger and clearer picture.

If you want a larger attachment photo, just take a screenshot of your Pale Moon. Save it and if it is really large, then go to a site like Web Resizer and resize the photo to something like 1366x768. Once resized, name it and save it and then you can post the resized photo as a larger attachment. I do this for all of my photos since my desktop tower computes us a 24" monitor which is 1920x1080. Start of a new week and I'm on my other tower desktop computer. When I'm on the internet I spend lots of time on the Pale Moon and Linux Mint forums site. Below is an attachment of my 64 bit linux Pale Moon 25.6.0 running in 64 bit linux Mint 17.2 (Rafaela) Xfce on the linux Mint forums site. The lightweight persona theme I'm using on my second tower computer is named, "Dream of Waves".

This is my setup. Believe it or not, this is actually PM. Theme is Kempelton Reloaded, which is gorgeous as is on any platform. However I installed an older version of Classic Toolbar Buttons and configured it to match the FF 3 Strata scheme. I also have some tweaked favicons too, userscript based. Since Kemp also supports Lightweight themes via workaround, I applied that color scheme as well. Little tweaking and, surprisingly the tabs bar styling looks native with it. Doesn't look quite right when some elements are moved around, but I have a few more similar Personas in that case. Few icon resources in theme itself, friend and I tweaked. Explains the nice blue close buttons on tabs, or the throbber. As far as the Firefox branding itself.. That was just a parody to see what it would look like, or what people would think. Used the resources from 3.0, before the 3.5 logo change. Compiled it with an addon called Rebrand. Tbh seeing it kinda spikes good memories to me. Like when Mozilla products didn't suck..
But yeah, that's my FF 3 clone. Looks very native with the rest of my un-eveolving, 2008 inspired desktop. Gotta love it!

Admire your config. Love Mint. I remember before Australis, FF used to blend well with that desktop too, adapting GTK icon style.

Here is my latest moon, I have changed the system theme to Ambiance Blackout Graphite (with Faenza Darkest icon theme). And this

is how Pale Moon looks there. A tad too bright for my taste (and a little glitch at the scrollbars).

Or should I opt for orange?

I wasn't really happy with the last themes, they are actually pretty cool but too bright for my taste. Now I am going with a theme called Hackstation (yes, it's evil ), it is basically different (!= fifty) shades of gray with red highlights and is square. The rounded tabs looked a bit out of place, so I used a bit of CSS to remove the background and the rounded corners and add these thin gay borders bottom and right and a slightly thicker red bottom border to the current tab. It isn't much but it fits already pretty well.

It just a matter of personal preference. Since I have poor eyesight, my eyes tend to like a brighter theme. I've got one dark lightweight dark persona theme called "The Green Mile", but I don't use it very often. You might like it.

I have had that combination of colors for a while in a few apps. Matrix style (green on black). The problem I see with this persona is, that for example the bookmarks toolbar is comparably bad to read.

Off-topic:
I wonder if they had the Book (or Books) called "The Green Mile" by Stephen King in mind. They came out here in the mid 90s, 6 parts at ~100 pages per month, so it was half a year of reading, I tried to get them as soon as the were released and read them the same day.

I don't use the dark "Green Mile" lightweight persona very much. I still prefer the lighter personas because of my poor eyesight. The "Dream of Waves" is a nice mellow lightweight theme and it is one of my favorites which is the one I showed with the linux Mint forums attachment a few posts above. The neon blue "Turquoise World" persona is another of my favorites.

About 90% of the time, my Pale Moon's are usually in either one of these two lightweight persona themes in both linux Mint and Windows 7.

I have only one single lightweight theme that I use and that is Made in Germany, but I use it only (but for many years) when our team is playing in soccer or handball World and Euro Cups and the like. Actually, I prefer when my browser fits the rest of my Desktop, that is usually done by adjusting the colors of the tabs to match the desktop theme.

I've toyed with a couple Linux distros over the years. If they could get Autocad and Quicken to run, I'd probably ditch Windoze, but until then, Windoze 7 until ???

I prefer your pale moon look. Easy to use and look so minimalist. Love it! But I think the darker is best
