How secure our browser are?

Unread post by ryansege » 2018-05-08, 13:05

The Internet has brought a lot of possibilities and ease things taking connectivity to a next level, there are no barriers or borders the whole world is connected this means that anyone can breach your internet connection in moments. This got me and started to research for the do's for every person on the internet for their internet security, privacy, and freedom. VPN is something that can encrypt your connection making you anonymous, making it impossible for a hacker to get into your connection and exploit your personal information. So guy if you have any recommendations do let me know, what kind of service to invest in ?

the least you can do is get a vpn or use tor browser if you are that much paranoid. I havent had any issues with pale moon though regarding security and privacy concerns.
Firefox, chrome, opera all the commercial ones are taking the data.

Get any bestvpn. But first read the features. Because alot of them VPNs are also tracking ur activity and are keeping logs. :(

First and foremost, a VPN will NOT prevent malware of any kind. So lets get that out of the way. Second, there are other browser leaks to contend with even though you do use a VPN. Like HTML5 cookies, WebRTC, whether the DNS is leaking, etc.

Find a VPN that's in another country that doesn't play nice with the government like Romania.

Tor is about the worst thing you can use unless you use it inconjunction with a VPN. The FBI has sniffed it and you can't trust the exit nodes. I bet even the NSA has their mitts in it and who knows if they operate exit nodes.

It is funny how many folks think that a VPN will protect them against malware and such.
All a VPN does is make it look like your coming from another place than you are, and changes your IP address.
Some actually use anonymizing software to help with making it look like your someone else.

But beware!
I Am Anonymous When I Use a VPN – 10 Myths Debunked (No I am not promoting or even use their service).

But the fact is that none of them, and I mean none of them (especially Tor) are bullet proof.
Even when Tor was considered safe, it had to be maintained with a browser with Zero add on's to reliably work.
There are a million ways to track a user and we use add on's to try to mitigate that.
We also use add on's to help keep junk from getting through like Ublock and ABL or ABP.

So if your looking for security, well PM is a great place to be. If your looking to add to that security
with good add on's then again, your in the best place for that as PM is going to be one of the last to give that to you.

If your just trying to watch out of country videos or listen to music and you can't because of where you live
then VPN's are your friend.

If your afraid of government oppression, then you will need many things including your wits and knowledge of
how hard your local government will work, and to what lengths they will go to to get at you.

Truthfully, if your at that last point then perhaps staying off the web is in order.
Or, use a live CD (NO NOT USB) Linux disk at some anonymous web cafe and use a different location every time.

Otherwise, just breathe and enjoy what you can.
