It's more an issue with automation than WebExtensions.. From a technical standpoint the WebExtension would be as legit as a Toolkit or Jetpack extension.. From a human standpoint it is a bunch of bullshit.

This is why there is such a thing as an Add-ons Team and the Blocklist. People have to be involved in the process. Even automated processes should be monitored by humans..
