Possibility of mirroring Mozilla addons site?

Unread post by Weboh » 2017-11-07, 21:10

The Mozilla addons site has a big change pending that will remove "legacy" addons. Is it possible that someone could do a mirror of the old addons site before this happens so that Pale Moon users can get addons that aren't posted here yet? Would there be any legal issues? I know some of the addons aren't GPL licensed and can only be distributed on the Mozilla site. I can't see the developers complaining too much, and if the Internet Archive can do it, maybe we can too?

Yes, I know the Internet Archive exists, but it's only bits and pieces of the site. Plus searching within it is broken.
