Is the XUL version in Firefox pre-Australis and post-Australis different?
Is it too hard to show status bar in post-Australis Firefox by solely using complete theme [without the help of an add-on (Status-4-evar)]?

There is no difference in XUL support pre- and post-Australis.
BUT: Since Australis is a different front-end application, its markup files (written in XUL) are, of course, different.
A theme is the layer above that, and can't change the underlying XUL -- XUL extensions can.
