Pale Moon forum

It's a shame support is ending for 3.6 but quite understandable. It was only last month, with support ending/ended for FF 3.6 that I started looking around at other browsers.

I had tried FF13 but just didn't like it. Tried Chrome which appeared fast but there wasn't exactly much there to slow it down.

I came across Pale Moon and it seemed logical that I try 3.6 and I was very happy with it. After using it for a week and reading more here on the forums I hesitantly tried 12.1 and was pleasantly surprised. It ticks all the boxes. It's like a familiar but much improved 3.6 which is what I want.

What I'm trying to say is 3.6 was a good stepping point for me. As you say it will be supported for a few more months and still be around after that. So I expect many more FF 3.6 users will take the route I did and be happy that they did.

FF/PM 3.6 is outdated now IMHO.

and PM12.2.1 tries a "look and feel" / UI close to FF3.6 by default. so why not give that a try? i am sure you will notice and like the speed increase.

The trouble is that the HTML code changes with new developments, if you want to browse some simple pages of develop "traditional" pages PM 3.6 will be fine yet. But if you want to surf the net or want to develop heavy pages this version is not enough anymore. At least my Athlon XP computer has no Internet connection, so I can install the last 3.6 update and check the small projects I do with confidence.

Version 3.x got me through years with my old, gasoline-powered laptops. I now have 12.2.1 on both, and it runs fine, which I couldn't say of previous 4+ versions. Thank you for hanging in there till the code caught up!
