Is there a Timeline up for Basilisk?
I hope I don't get reamed for asking this. Is there any sort of timeline for the release of the alpha version of Basilisk?

That Basilisk logo reminds me of something:
Isn't this too close for comfort? Both have tongues!

I'm goung a little off-topic, but I read on the website:Moonchild wrote:http://www.basilisk-browser.org/preview/index.shtml
"It will look like early-2017 releases of Firefox"
So, I would ask you how it will look on Linux machines: in Linux, Pale Moon have the native look of your system, with the icons and the gtk theme syncronized with the browser. This is a really loved feaures, missed in early releases of Firefox. I would like to see also Basilisk having your current icons and themes settings in Linux.

Pale Moon is using GTK 2 so it will adopt your GTK 2 theme and your icon theme. Yes it looks really nice. I have criticized GTK 3 but it probably works the same way.aegis wrote:I'm goung a little off-topic, but I read on the website:Moonchild wrote:http://www.basilisk-browser.org/preview/index.shtml

Here comes the problem, though;
Basilisk will use Australis so it will adopt your GTK 3 theme, but not your icon theme. Since Firefox began using Australis you get generic monochrome Firefox icons. I take back some of my GTK 3 criticism (but not all) and conclude that Australis is the main culprit. That being said, Pale Moon is still the main browser so if you don't like Australis stick to Pale Moon.

Ah, thanks for the clarification. That is useful information for deciding whether to adopt Basilisk.mr tribute wrote:Pale Moon is using GTK 2 so it will adopt your GTK 2 theme and your icon theme. ...

Thanks. I see now that there's a "Basilisk" tag and "Initial Basilisk release" milestone.Moonchild wrote:Möbius is where you should look.avada wrote:Where can I monitor basilisk development progress? I only see a Moebious project on github (and withing only a master channel).
By any chance will a forum be set up for Basilisk in the near future to talk about Basilisk related stuff?

I went to the github page to download it (the tar.gz file). I stopped the download when it got over 250 megs. How big is it? That seems huge just for a browser.
