terrible text editing in forms

In that case I doubt it's a bug in Pale Moon (since nobody else has reported this). My first suggestion is try using a text field with Pale Moon started in safe mode. That will disable all your add-ons. If it works correctly, then you'd know it is an add-on causing the problem.

I don't think the bug you linked to is it; that's a problem specifically with Facebook only.

Okay, I see this is posted in the Android section . . . I'm afraid I am no longer of help as I don't have an Android device. I'd still try starting Pale Moon in safe mode to see what happens (assuming that's an option in the Android version).
