Show product announcements?

I've just started to use Pale Moon for Android (25.2.1), and I'm delighted with it! I was poking around in the Settings and saw one that said "Show product announcements." I unchecked it, but then I wondered whether permitting product announcements would provide some benefit to the Pale Moon developer. If that's the case, I guess I'll put the check mark back--or find a way to contribute directly. I love Pale Moon more than I dislike ads.

Heh, I should just remove it. I doubt Mozilla still has the server up for it anyway with how they've been culling infra left, right and center.
it certainly does not benefit the Pale Moon project.
