My system is Debian 9 (stretch) 64 bit.
Pale Moon 64 loads the system wide installed addons (per apt) and plugins from Iceweasel (Debian Firefox).
But a lot of addons wont't work because Iceweasel's version is much higher. Some plugins could crash Pale Moon and there could be a security risk because of buffer overflows and the like.
System wide installed addons are activated by default. You have to disable them manually. Therefore changing Iceweasel's installation would also affect Pale Moon.
Is this a bug or a feature?
Linux 32 (Atom) doesn't have this problem. Pale Moon for Netbooks works fine.

If I get your question correctly, that's a feature

OK. Then I have to be very careful not to affect Pale Moon's installation through Debian's repository.
