[Solved] H.264 not working

Unread post by leroy_brown » 2015-08-19, 05:05

I am running Arch Linux and following the suggested advice and changing 'media.gstreamer.enabled' to true and going to youtube.com/html5, H.264 was working previously.

Now, it's not and shows as being disabled.

The only thing I've done since then was installed Chromium and the Pepper Flash Player.

I have the following installed but it still doesn't enable H.264.

gst-plugins-base-libs 1.4.5-1
gstreamer 1.4.5-1
gstreamer0.10 0.10.36-4
gstreamer0.10-base 0.10.36-3
gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg 0.10.13-2

Is there another workaround in getting H.264 enabled?

Perfect, that worked!

What changed so installing the 'gstreamer0.10-good-plugins' was required?

It's required for webm and mp4 demuxing or something like that :)

those are the typical container formats for h.264.
