Nintendo Maniac 64 wrote:So uh... any news on this new version? With the release of the new LTS version of Debian and its derivatives (specifically Linux Mint 18), I'm wanting to install Linux on at least one of my PCs full-time and I'd greatly appreciate at least a bit of info on the status of the next version.
I've done a great deal of work on the new version already, but alas, I don't have time to complete it in the near future. Please be patient; I will complete the new version when I have time for it.

Just FYI, Blue Moon Linux does not seem to work with the current unstable build of PM on Linux: 27.1.0b2 (64-bit) (2017-01-13). This is on Linux Mint 17.3 KDE. Blue Moon Linux is still working fine with PM 27.0.3 on my Mint 17.3 systems.

It no longer works on my Manjaro or CentOS boxes either.

Update regarding this previous post of mine - I've found that v2.8.7rc of the extension "Hide Caption Titlebar Plus" works quite well with PM 27.0.3 on Linux Mint 18.1 which allows me to recreate the "tabs in titlebar" look of a maximized window; I do however also recommend using the "Color My Tabs" extension because otherwise I fell there isn't enough visual distinction between selected and unselected tabs.

Apparently I can't edit my previous post even though it's only 3 hours old...

Regardless, I just wanted to say that a side-effect of using that extension to get tabs in the toolbar on Linux is that you can't resize the program window when it's in an unmaximized state.

Go to the "Hide Caption Titlebar Plus" options, in the tab "Look and Feel" there should be an option "Activate custom borders and corner resizers". ;)

Huh, you're right. Visually the custom borders are quit thin but functionally-wise they work perfectly.

Pale Moon 27.1 on Linux now includes the blue Pale Moon button by default, so I believe this extension is kind of redundant now...

Looking into it closer...maybe?

The button is there by default, but it's grey.

A theme like "Moonfox3" turns the button blue.

Unfortunately I do not remember if PM 27.0.3 also had a grey "Pale Moon" button.

The button has always been there, but is grey by default.
