Can't type Korean

Unread postby Aleenik » Thu, 06 Nov 2014, 01:32

I am using the iBus Hangul IME which works for Firefox but not Pale Moon. Is there something additional that I need to install in order to get it to work with Pale Moon? Or is there something else that I can install that will let me type Korean in Pale Moon?

Hello!

Had you tried with Pale Moon 24.7.2 or 25.0.x? Remember that version 25 usually have troubles with add-ons created for Fire Fox since is not longer using the same SUID. Your program send me to this page http://code.google.com/p/ibus/ at it says that the last version is from 2012. So maybe you may need to check if the program works with v24 and then with v25. So for sure Pale Moon is not listed as a supported program since v25, maybe post a complain in the forum of the app can help to made a update that address this.

Also, had you tried to paste Korean language from other program to Pale Moon? Just to check if is a trouble of your IME package or really Pale Moon doesn't recognize the language. Is what I can think of for made some troubleshooting for the moment.

Greetings,

I am using Windows Microsoft IME Korean Keyboard to type Korean. You just need to add the Keyboard if you are using Windows - Read: https://www.learnkoreanwords.com/korean-keyboard
