Been experiencing crashes lately when opening the browser.
After it crashed I reopend Pale Moon in a terminal and got this:
(process:5900): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_slice_set_config: assertion 'sys_page_size == 0' failed
NOTE: child process received `Goodbye', closing down
!!! [YouTubeInfoService]: meta returns 404

Running on PClinuxOS with the 3.14.70 kernel. Pale Moon 24.6.1 x86

Apparently, the g_slice_set critical warning will be displayed on all modern Linux systems and can cause crashes or instability on some systems, apparently related to the version of glibc in use.

Considering this affects all Mozilla-based software, it's probably a good idea to see if you can get any more details on launchpad or in bugzilla.mozilla.org - it's a linux-specific core issue that should be looked at by the developers intimately familiar with Mozilla code on Linux.

It's dynamically linked. Try running Pale Moon on CentOS and something modern, say Ubuntu and observe the terminal output.Moonchild wrote:what glibc do you link against?
However, the above stated crashes may be related to oxygen-gtk2 themes (changing the theme would fix that).
