Incorrect preferences

Unread post by doffen » 2021-02-12, 01:12

the preferences help file wrote:Enable MSE for WebM video: This enables the use of MSE for media in the WebM video format.
This is disabled by default because it causes issues with seeking and looping of media in the player implementations on the main websites where this combination is used.
That is not correct. It says it is valid for version 27 and up. In every version since, the preferences file come with the option Enable MSE for WebM video default marked active.

Besides, the help file says nothing about Enable WebAssembly (WASM), on the same page in the prefs.

What does this have to do with Linux?

I reckon this is most appropriate in the Development (discussion) board?

Actually, this would be a website issue as they are talking about the on-line help page linked from preferences.

Thank you, Moonchild.

TheSquash and moonbat, the question has nothing to do with Linux as such, but with Palemoon for Linux, as the section is named.
Support and discussions for the x86/x64 Linux version of Pale Moon and specific Linux distribution questions related to the browser.
So, general Linux questions should not placed in this section.

Well the intention for this board is to have Linux-specific questions and quirks (e.g. installation, filesystem woes, system libs, source builds on Linux, etc) separated from the support for the bulk of our users (on Windows). Issues that would (very likely) apply to both are best placed in the general support board. I know it's a bit of a grey area.

We have posted this for a reason:

If your question is about general use of the browser and not specific to Linux, then please use the General Support board.
