Form completion sometimes remembers logins

Post by Lunokhod » 2020-07-27, 03:10

On some logins, like degiro, the login is remembered by the form history. Also when you click show password it saves the password. The github login gets remembered too as another example, although it has no show password option. That's in a clean profile with login completion disabled, yet sometimes they get completed regardless.

If webmasters insist on using their own faked password controls instead of the standard password controls, and on top not giving it an easily-recognizable and ad-hoc standard name of the field, then that can happen. Nothing you can do about it (aside from writing the webmasters) except not saving form history at all.
