I seem to have picked up an annoying pop-up on exiting my Palemoon 28.9.2 (64-bit Linux Mint 19.3) browser. Here is the link that is activated:
How do I remove this annoyance?

First thing to try, is to start FF in Safe Mode, then Quit.

Does that same page pop up?

If not, then most likely it is due to an extension that you have installed.

Looks like to me you picked up something nasty. I'd try a new profile first and see if the pop-up goes away.

If it is a malware extension please let me know the ID so I can blocklist it.

I cleared my cache using Click-n-Clean add-on and the pop up has been removed. However, all my tabs in my profile were erased but the bookmarks are intact. So I've rebuilt my tabs and my profile is now back in order.
Firefox does not have the pop up and it works fine.

I have not downloaded any extensions, however this happened after I tried downloading a '4k video downloader' :
After it downloaded, I see in my History library that the following sites were accessed, unknown to me:

I am now very leery about even installing that 4kdownloader.

Don't install proprietary software from shady sources, if it is a legitimate software then go to only their official website for download links and not any other 3rd party file host. Used to be only Windows users had to face this problem, now these malware vendors are catching onto the fact that there are newbies on Linux as well.

Most of these downloaders are dubious in terms of functionality anyway.
