Bookmark menu offers a neat way to import and export PM bookmarks...Is there an equivalent for PM saved passwords ??

Can you not use the search bar on the Add-ons Site?

The files mentioned in the post you refer to are unreadable. can I export to something I can read ?

Mentioned Password Backup Tool extension lets you export to *.xml and *.csv - the latter can be read in notepad.exe
