Hi
In the privacy section "Settings for clearing history", I've checkmarked all to be cleared.
However when I use ctrl+shift+delete "form and search history" appear with no checkmark. I cannot manually checkmark it either: it's dimmed and does not react.
this might be a problem caused by ubuntu 18.04. I dont know.
any suggestions how to resolve this issue?

Re: settings for clearing history
I think this happens when there is no search and form history to delete
--either because remembering search/form history wasn't enabled in the first place,
--or because it got cleared per your "clear on exit" settings and has not yet been replenished.
The corresponding preference in about:config is set to check that box by default:
privacy.cpd.formdata = true
So unless you changed that pref, if you just generate more search/form history the checkbox should un-dim and become checked.

Re: settings for clearing history
thank you for your reply
that seems like a logical explanation.
I checked the config, and it was set to true by default.
I'll watch out to see what happens the next time I fill out a form.
