Audio playback in certain video streaming websites produces a robotic voice

Websites such as twitter, tubitv.com produces a robotic voice on video playback on my linux system. There is no issue with the firefox browser in this websites.

Operating system: Arch Linux
Browser version: 28.8.0
32-bit or 64-bit?: 64-bit
Problem URL: many websites (like tubitv.com, twitter)
Theme: Pale Moon Classic
Installed extensions: butWhyMod; Pentadactyl
Installed plugins: (about:plugins): NONE

There's a button right at the top of the page to copy troubleshooting information, instead you go and copy the table below it :roll:

This is a known problem for sites that do "user agent sniffing" and treat different browsers differently. Try the following menu walk...
  • *Tools
    *Preferences
    *Compatibility (should be set to "Firefox Compatibility")
You may need to restart the browser.

And oh yeah, update to 28.8.1 NOW. It fixes an active exploit being used in the wild.
