AETNA Signin Problem

Unread post by tman801 » 2020-01-06, 15:03

I have just got my new Aetna ID Card and cannot sign in to my account using Pale Moon.
However I can sign in using Firefox which I rarely use.
Is there a setting I can change so that Pale Moon will recognize Pale moon?

No I haven't.
To be truthful I don't remember where or how to use user agent.
Do i download an extension and what do I put in it?

OK I found user agent in about:config but I still don't know what to add.

Read this FAQ for the mechanics of changing a site-specific user agent.

For what string to enter, since the FAQ is not recent...
Check this site for current user agents of various mainstream browsers.

Tried all of the Ubuntu agents listed but nothing works. Guess I will have to use Firefox for Aetna site.

Try a Windows one. It doesn't matter that you're on Linux.

Try this, the new YouTube Studio also accepts this:

For Windows 7:

Code: Select all

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:71.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/71.0
For Windows 10:

Code: Select all

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; WOW64; rv:71.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/71.0

Thanks for replying.
I went thru the list but nothing works.
I guess they are not going to recognize Pale Moon as a safe browser.
I will have to use Firefox for this web site for now.

I had to cancel a credit card for the same reason. You can not explain to these people why you can't use IE anymore as I believe they are being paid to push these other browsers.

If it's a credit card company, their IT department is an expense. Any change will cost them money they would rather not spend, and left to themselves would rather remain on a website coded during the heyday of IE6 forever.
