Pale Moon and Lexmark CS410

I installed Pale Moon on my Debian system in order to help me use the Java based VNC applet for the operator panel of my Lexmark CS410 printer. It worked better than any previous attempt, but all it gives me is "Error: Connection refused" and a "Login again" button.
How can I make this work? I am reluctant to reset my printer due to the state of its display and the fact it may take a lot of fiddling to get right again.
