Force overwrite downloaded files

Unread post by terranigma » 2019-08-20, 07:01

We have to download some JNLP files from our web app with fixed file name. These files are getting renamed and collected in Downloads folder despite they're for one time use. Instead of adding numbers to the end of name of these files, can I force PM to overwrite existing file?

Normally, using the "open with" mechanism will not at all use the download folder, but will use the system's TEMP folder instead. Your web application should make sure to link to the JNLP normally (sending the proper MIME type, etc.) so it doesn't trigger a download, but an "open with" the designated application.
