Since upgrading to PM 28.5.0 the usual Ctrl + left-click to open any link (ie. from Bookmark bar or a link within a web page) in a new tab is no longer working. This appears to be specific to the Linux version of PM 28.5.0 as Ctrl + left-click is still working fine in PM 28.5.0 for both the Windows & Mac versions. This issue is present on three tested distributions: Ubuntu 16.04/18.04 and Antergos (Arch).
Note that Ctrl + left-click worked fine with PM 28.4.1 on the same mentioned distributions. This is a feature that I use very frequently, so hopefully it will be easy to fix this regression bug in future versions of PM for Linux!

Also discussed here (re not-Linux).
Re: Ctrl + left-click (open link in new tab) not working (PM 28.5.0)
Did a search on the forums prior to making this new topic and somehow didn't manage to find that other topic you linked, so thanks for mentioning it. The problem was indeed with Tab Mix Plus as someone else mentioned in the other topic. For some reason, Linux PM did not pick up the Tab Mix Plus extension update to v0.5.7.0 when doing a manual "Check for Updates" from the Add-ons Manager page, whereas both Windows & Mac did pick up that there was a new TMP and thus installed the new version.
After updating TMP to 0.5.7.0 manually on the Linux install of PM 28.5.0 (using a downloaded XPI file, due the Add-ons Manager not seeing a new TMP version) Ctrl + left-click is working fine once again. So not a regression bug, just a problem with an extension!
