Palemoon & Seamonkey sync?

Unread post by gychang » 2019-04-12, 00:06

I prefer to use PM (version 28.4.1), but some older puppy linux OS have Seamonkey as a default browser (if can install older PM does not seem to sync with recent PM). I have a sync account in PM, is there a way to sync to Seamonkey?, default sync server does not seem to work.

thanks,

You would need a version of SeaMonkey that supports the old version of sync (Sync 1.1, the Weave-based sync, not the current Firefox Accounts version).

Then you would have to set up your own Sync 1.1 service someplace, because the terms of service for the palemoon.org sync service explicitly state that it's only for syncing instances of Pale Moon, not any other apps.

Even then, syncing may not work properly because of differences between Pale Moon and SeaMonkey.
