Poor performance on Debian 9

Unread post by C1xLb » 2019-02-25, 06:27

Does anyone else find that PM on Debian 9 or similar is a little laggy when compared to Firefox ESR 60.5.1 from the repositories? I was kind of surprised but it's definitely slower... Might it be an add on?

Try comparing them both using new clean profiles.
Though comparisons can only go so far. Besides different technologies, there is also things to consider like hot or cold caches, the desktop environment, etc.

It may depend of websites too. PM is sometimes laggy with some heavy webpages.

FWIW, I use Devuan ascii based on Debian 9, and Pale Moon runs just great.
