GPG/PGP key for trava90 link 404

Unread post by doke2 » 2019-02-14, 17:23

I downloaded 28.3.1 for linux x86_64 from http://linux.palemoon.org/datastore/release/palemoon-28.3.1.linux-x86_64.tar.bz2. When I tried to check the GPG signature, I got an error that the key C65285EC was unknown, and could not be found on keyserver pgpkeys.mit.edu. I eventually found it in another topic in this forum, https://forum.palemoon.org/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=10161&p=70151&hilit=gpg+key#p70151. The link in that post, http://linux.palemoon.org/0xC65285EC.asc, returns a 404 error. Fortunately, the key was also pasted into the post. I apologize for starting a new topic, but that topic was locked.

Looks like the MIT PGP keyserver is having issues (it's very slow) and might have lost a lot of public keys, since it can't find keys I know for a fact have been uploaded before.
You may want to use pool.sks-keyservers.net or keys.gnupg.net instead.
Did you know that moral outrage triggers the pleasure centers of the brain? It's unlikely you can actually get addicted to outrage, but there is plausible evidence that you can become strongly predisposed to it.
