Does the internal updater work for manual installations?

Unread post by mtbvfr » 2019-01-15, 23:36

Hi Folks,

I have a Software Update dialogue being displayed asking if I want to upgrade to 28.3.0.

Does the code, behind the "Get the New Version" button, work for manual installations?

Thanks, MTB.

If PM is installed into a user-writable location, then yes the internal updater will work. If it's not a user-writable location, you'll have to download the tarball and install the update manually.
