BUG: Palemoon does not show saved passwords and freezes

Hi list,

dunno, if this is the correct place for a bugreport, but as there is no bugpage, I send it here:

Problem: When I want to see my saved passwords in Palemoon, I click through the options, until I see the list with the saved
url's with the passwords.

Here it is not possible to go any further, neither filtering of the url's nor showing the saved passwords is possible.

I can only close the window. Sometimes Palemoon is freezing then.

My system:

Debian testing, 32-bit, 2GB RAM,
Palemoon Version 28.2.2, 32-bit (bug appeared also in 27.X.X)

Tested with openjdk-8, openjdk-11 and oracle-java-8 = same results.

Please feel free to ask for more information.

Thanks for any help.

Best regards

Thunderstar

Well ... there is this part of the forum:

There were previous reports of problems with preference windows on systems using xf86-video-intel driver. Are you using that? If so:

viewtopic.php?f=37&t=20713&p=155112&hil ... es#p154936

If not ... does it still happen when you start Pale Moon in safe mode? Does it still happen when you start Pale Moon with a new profile?

Please post the info from Help > Troubleshooting Information as specified here:

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=49

Also, where did you install Pale Moon from? The official linux Pale Moon download page, Steve Pusser's repo, or somewhere else? If you did not install it from the official download page, does the problem still happen when you use those binaries?

PM has no native need for Java, so I would that to be irrelevant here.
I click through the options, until I see the list with the saved
url's with the passwords
So we're clear, just what are the options you go through?

Have you tested after starting in Safe Mode?
