Pale Moon forum

Hello.
It seems I can't login into dropbox. I disabled uMatrix and tried safe mode too, but it didn't work.
I can insert my credentials, but when I send them, nothing happens except the buttons are all disabled.
I suspect it's something related to captcha, but I can't confirm it and the console doesn't really help (it mostly throws errors about ignoring content security policy directives).

As a test, create a new, clean Profile.
Open, https://www.dropbox.com/login
Enter your UN/PW.

Can you log in?

If so, then maybe it's a cookie (bad or 3rd party block) issue (in your original Profile)?

uMatrix is set to delete cookies unless I explicitly save a rule in the settings, so bad cookies are to be excluded.
Anyway, I still tried and got the same result.

It's definitely a captcha, in fact even worse, reCAPTCHA. I know. I contacted Dropbox about this a few months ago but they didn't budge (like so many others).

Yeah, I'm aware it's Google's captcha, but it works on different sites (including Google's services) with Pale Moon.
Only Dropbox is failing.
But if you contacted them already, then there's not much I can do it seems.

I was able to pass the reCAPTCHA and log in after changing the value for PM's hard-coded UA override for dropbox.
(default string = IE 11 user agent)

For the new override value...
Using PM's native user agent, or PM's compatmode user agent, or a string for Firefox 60 - all worked here. I didn't try others.

I tried changing the user agent and still got nothing.

I am having the same problem. I used to use Dropbox but it no longer works...had to switch to Firefox.

Is there any way to go back to an earlier Pale Moon build without losing my bookmarks? I need to use Dropbox :/

You can go to the Bookmarks menu --> Organize Bookmarks. Export or backup the bookmarks to either html or json, and then install the old Pale Moon (after swapping profile directories out). Then import the bookmarks.

Not even going back to a previous version worked. But now it seems fixed so all is well! Thank you (even if the problem was on Dropbox's side).

I can confirm that on December 14, 13:50 CET I could access Dropbox.
Pale Moon version 28.2.2
I also added the date because there's not really any guarantees that it will work tomorrow.
