Open tabs to the left

No matter what I try, whenever I close a tab, the tab to the right opens. is there some setting I could alter to get the left tab to open? I've tried Tab Control and Tab Utilities Phoenix to no avail.

Found the culprit: The Lull The Tabs addon was overriding my settings. All is well now,
