How do you delete perference in about.config

Unread post by Lassar » 2018-10-10, 00:37

I was adding a preference to about:config.

Made a mistake and added it as string instead of Boolean.

Said to myself, "no problem, I'll just delete it", and recreate it.

I right clicked on it, and could not find menu option to delete it.

How do you delete a preference in about:config?.

Right-click the Pref, Reset, then restart your browser.

(The restart could wait, ordinarily, but I take it you want to add the Pref back in with its correct type, so restart.)

Restarting the browser isn't needed. just refresh the about:config page.

Heh.
Sure enough that works, & is faster too.

Off-topic:
Another "oddity".
When preferences are listed by name, it looks to use a case-sensitive ASCII sort.
And with that 'B' comes before 'a', or 'Feeds.logging.console' comes before 'accessibility.AOM.enabled'.
