create custom search plugin for Startpage

I downloaded the Startpage search plugin and I would like to customize the parameters as per Startpage settings. Prefereably, I would like to edit the downloaded search plugin xml file but I cannot find a reference for Startpage search parameters.

The Install Custom Plugin button on Startpage settings doesn't do anything in Pale Moon 28.0. In any case, I want to get hold of the xml file, not just an automatic upload into search.json.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Look in your profile directory under the searchplugins directory. With Pale Moon completely exited, of course.

I know where the files are. I have created lots of custom search plugins since before Firefox invented search.json.

What I can't find is a list of parameters/values equivalent to the Startpage settings interface.
I just thought whoever uploaded the search plugin for Pale Moon must have had this information.

I think you should ask the startpage people about this. It's their search engine, after all! ;)

This seems to work, at least with PM 27:
- Go to the startpage settings
- Click the button to clear the settings (at the bottom of the page)
- Set everything as you wish
- Click generate URL
- Open that URL
- Select "Add Start Pageā€¦" from the search engines menu.

The Solution is quite simple :D

Install the AddOn "Add to Search Bar" and save your Settings on StartPage.
After that you can simply add StartPage with your personal Settings into the Search Engines.

I know "Add to Search Bar"can not be installed in PM via Firefox Addon-Sites.
You have to customize the install.rdf
