CTRL F page content search "Find Bar"

Unread post by Lunokhod » 2018-08-25, 21:46

On the latest UXP Pale Moon when you hit ctrl F (not ctrl W like nano, that closes the tab :D ) the find bar appears and you can search for a word or phrase on a page (useful when search engines show you pages without the word you were searching for...) but then if you switch to another tab the bar is gone. On older versions it was still there until you closed it, so you could easily repeat the search. Now you have to hit ctrl F on every new tab. Is there a setting for this to go back to the old behaviour?
Wait, it's all Ohio? Always has been...

Unfortunately, no. Mozilla changed this a while back; the findbar is per-tab now, and it can't be reverted. See discussion at Issue #487 (UXP), Find/Replace not working properly, and Issue #715 (UXP).
