video downloadHelper

Unread postby Haines » Sat, 07 Jul 2018, 22:04

I upgraded my operating system from Devuan Jessie to Devuan Ascii. On the former I have been using
Downloadhelper 4.9.24.1, but on the latter it no longer seems available as an extension. Was this extension
discontinued for Palemoon? Is there an alternative for downloading videos from websites?

I have no idea about any discontinuation...

Do you have a backup of your old Profile?
If so, you can just copy the extension from your Profile/extensions/ directory, or you can still get it from AMO, https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/down ... on-history.

(Video downloaders, in particular when dealing with Youtube, generally need to stay current, as YT is always changing things on their end. And in that respect 4.9.24.1 is ancient.)
