Duckduck go empty search results
When entering a search term into duckduckgo.com, the search engine returns nothing (a blank page). I see this behavior regardless of which addons are enabled in the browser, cookies enabled, etc. DDG is working properly in Firefox and Tor browser.

Re: Duckduck go empty search results
Is it happening every time you search?
Sometimes it happens to me also - searh box is there with query filled in, but rest of the page is blank. In that case, I just reload the page and everything comes to order.

Re: Duckduck go empty search results
It happens probably about half the time I use DDG. When I get the blank results, refresh doesn't work. The only thing that seems to temporarily make it work is just to wait a few minutes and try it again.
This would seem like a server-side issue but it's only happening with PM AFAICT.

Re: Duckduck go empty search results
I saw this topic earlier this morning and I've been trying to reproduce the blank page many of you are seeing when using Duck Duck Go. But I can't reproduce this and I've been trying for the past 30 minutes.
Now a long time ago, this blank page result was happening to me when using Google. I solved this for Google and this might work for you in Duck Duck Go since I can't reproduce the blank page in Duck Duck Go when entering search queries.
What I did was go into "about:config" (without the quote marks). In the search field, I typed in:
And whatever value you find as the default, change the value to zero:
Remember the original value if this doesn't work because you might want to go back and put back the default value. I still use the (0) zero value and this may be why I can't reproduce the blank page results in Duck Duck Go.

Re: Duckduck go empty search results
Setting max viewers to 0 disables storing cached versions of rendered pages. This will seriously impact some websites (especially when using the Back button), will cause a large performance hit, and isn't recommended at all.
Just so you are aware.

Does www.duckduckgo.com/html give you the same spotty behavior?
Re: Duckduck go empty search results
1. When I went to https://duckduckgo.com directly, the first search worked properly. I repeated several different searches which also worked.
2. When I used the search box in PM, the search also succeeded.
3. When I went back to https://duckduckgo.com a second time, the searches were yielding blank pages, even through multiple attempts.
(And to clarify "blank page" -- The search field at the top and suggestion boxes still appear, just no results.
For example, if I search for the word "bear", a blurb from Wikipedia appears on the right-hand side of the page. There's just no actual search results displayed. )

Re: Duckduck go empty search results
Here is the page source from the empty "bear" search. The results appear present in the source.
