Re: PaleMoon instantly collapses on this page
It doesn't on W7 on a reasonably powerful PC, though it does spend time bumping the CPU% up and consuming ~750MB of memory - probably thanks to all the Ytimg/YouTube/Google stuff - probably written specifically with Chrome in mind. Contact them and ask for saner scripts?
Re: PaleMoon instantly collapses on this page
But why does FireFox on the same page work fine?

Works fine here, on both PMx64 and Basilisk, but it's a bad concept - video/graphic-heavy page with 1500+ posts... Perhaps the difference is in the OS.
BTW, how much memory does that page use in FF?

I know that. But if FF continues to work here, but PM collapses, then PaleMoon it's worse?

If PM does not want to show a large page, then let him say "I do not want to do this."
In any case PM should not be destroyed, This is a bug.

How can I know this? What do need for this?

Re: PaleMoon instantly collapses on this page
I tried with SeaMonkey 2.49.2 / Win7 : a pain but it loads (slowly)
Easier and faster with FF ESR

Re: PaleMoon instantly collapses on this page
Pale Moon with 35+ active tabs uses less memory than that single page on FF ESR here.
Do you think 1500 Posts on a page is a good idea? What spec is your computer?
You don't know how to check memory usage per process, seriously?

All i got is a blackscreen on pale moon and it was most certainly NOT destroyed as you put it.It should be noted that the site could be considered malicious in it s nature.craftsman wrote:[quote = "Nigaikaze"] Pale Moon is not Firefox. [/ quote]

Re: PaleMoon instantly collapses on this page
It is very slow, but not "instantly collapsing" for me. Have you tried accessing that page with PM in safe mode? Or with a new profile? That will rule out whether or not extensions or a problem with your profile are potential causes of the "collapse."craftsman wrote:In any case PM should not be destroyed, This is a bug.

Eh ... I wrote that I use Linux. But you did not pay attention to it.
It's not the same as in Windows. There is no "SafeMode" in it, etc.

Re: PaleMoon instantly collapses on this page
Eh ... I paid attention to everything you wrote, and not just in this thread. Eh ... you make bad assumptions. I'm using Linux too. The "safe mode" that I am referring to is Pale Moon's safe mode. Learn to search the forum and you can learn about the software that you are using.craftsman wrote:Eh ... I wrote that I use Linux. But you did not pay attention to it.

Re: PaleMoon instantly collapses on this page
And you might also want to consider updating to the latest version (27.9.1), because that includes some improvements in memory allocation over 27.9.0.craftsman wrote:PaleMoon version: 27.9.0 (64-bit) for Linux

Re: PaleMoon instantly collapses on this page
Why do I need a secure PM mode? I want to work in common normal mode.
I told you about this trouble of PM. You can eliminate it, or it may not.
The choice is yours. Everything else is too difficult for me.
Excuse me

Re: PaleMoon instantly collapses on this page
PM's safe mode is for troubleshooting purposes. It can rule out problems that are caused by add ons or extensions. Restarting PM with a new profile rules out other potential problems with your preference settings or possible corruption in your profile. This trouble that you are having with PM collapsing on this specific page is currently only being reported by you. You have to rule out these other problems before you can legitimately label this a bug. If further troubleshooting is too difficult for you, so be it, you will just have to continue living with this problem, because we cannot troubleshoot your system for you. That choice is yours, not ours.craftsman wrote:Why do I need a secure PM mode? I want to work in common normal mode.

Re: PaleMoon instantly collapses on this page
Safe mode is a temporary measure, and is the best way to test if the problem lies with the browser or the add-ons you have installed. Until you try it, we can't reasonably determine where the problem might be.craftsman wrote:Why do I need a secure PM mode? I want to work in common normal mode.
Edit: Nigaikaze took the words out of my mouth.

Re: PaleMoon instantly collapses on this page
Clicking on the link in the OP's post, Pale Moon opens the page for me using 64 bit linux Pale Moon 27.9.1 running in 64 bit linux Mint 18.3.(Sylvia) Xfce. But, it takes a long time to open.

Re: PaleMoon instantly collapses on this page
VERY graphics heavy page, with many 800 x 800, 24 bit pics scaled down by the browser, and 3 *directly* linked ytube vids that take a long time...
when ytube is a 'peak use' it could cause problems...
The russians certainly love their guns!!
and MUCH MORE ytubes all the way down....

Re: PaleMoon instantly collapses on this page
my gosh! what a pain for a website! not sure if you were talking palemoon should be destroyed or that website, but i'd recommend that website, for sure! some dumb, rookie, wanna be webmaster at work there!
on my first attempt accessing that page, i got a page load error. refreshed and waited minutes for it to load, but it never finished.
i'm using palemoon 28.2.1 on a 32bit sytem that usually can handle any web page i've ever gone to but that site totally blows chunks!
