Linux/Palemoon 27.8.1: Video YES Audio NO

Hi,

I am currently trying Palemoon on Gentoo Linux and run version 27.8.1 installed from this
archive: palemoon-27.8.1.en-US.linux-x86_64.tar.bz2

Furthermore installed are:
Alsa-lib 1.1.5
ffmpeg 3.4.2
libavcodec.so.57.107.100

I created a ~.asoundrc as shown here:

but with no success.

The underlaying soundsystems seems to work fine, since firefox has no problems (compiled locally with no pulseaudio activated).

What can I try else to get sound on sites like youtube etc. ?

Just updated Pale Moon to 27.8.1 on Manjaro Linux and there is no audio issue (checked on youtube and dailymotion).
