I updated PM (Linux) today (to Version 27.8.0). When I started new PM: all my addons were gone, no bookmarks, standard gui ... profile was deleted.
I have a backup, so I copied an old profile in the palemoon-dir and i have my stuff back.
Be warned - make a copy before you update.

How did you update.?
Mine updated just fine via the pm installer.

never had any issues before with updates. no big deal, just wondering

This was because of NSS library issues in 27.8.0; latest release 27.8.1 should have this problem fixed.
