Bug in Tab's options
When I go in Tools->Preferences->Tabs
I change option "A blank page" to "My home page" under section "When opening a new tab, show". But when I press CTRL+T i got new blank tab. Ok, I go back in Tools->Preferences->Tabs and under selection "When opening a new tab, show" I see default value "A blank page".
Any chance to fix this bug?

Re: Bug in Tab's options
Did you set a custom home page in "General" or not? Did you set your homepage to a blank page?
To clarify: if the home page you set in general happens to be exactly equal to one of the pre-set choices in the drop-down for pages, it will consider that the choice you made instead of "my home page".
As an aside I did find a minor issue with getting the home page preference that will be corrected in the next release.

Re: Bug in Tab's options
Well that makes no sense then... are there any errors in the error console when you select "my home page" at the new tab option?

Pointless, I understand the problem.

I believe that I have fallen victim to this same bug in the latest unstable build (which as of this posting is the build of 27.8.0a1 that has the build identifier of 20180211 and was built from git commit 07fe019f580c63eda41e9a7aa890225467864f2).

I repeat my question yet again: are there any errors in the error console when you select "my home page" at the new tab option?

No, error console is empty.

Re: Bug in Tab's options
Well at any rate the next unstable (I'll probably build one tomorrow) will have a fix for a known problem trying to get the home page URL, which may be at the root of this for you.

Re: Bug in Tab's options
FWIW the last unaffected version is 27.6.2, any newer version effectively prevents attempts to change this option (not only in the case of "blank page" - any changes are not saved).
By the way, what is the best place for bugreports? Forum? Github? Both?

Yes, both: Bug reports (Linux & other) on the forum and GitHub.

Re: Bug in Tab's options
Please try the latest unstable build and see if this is fixed (I am unable to reproduce in unstable build).
