I just update PaleMoon to 27.7.2.
I now have a problem. At the bottom of the screen, below the status bar, is a pane approximately 3 centimeters deep containing the text in red lettering:
<menuitem id="abp-status-slowcollapse" "label= "&hideplaceholders.label;"" type="checkbox" command="abp-command-togglecollapse"/>
I can't get rid of it....
I have tried a complete uninstall / reinstall of PaleMoon - no change, the pane is still there. .
I am running Ubuntu 16.04 LTS 64 bit
Any help appreciated.. Thanks.

Re: Status bar problem after update (27.2.2 64bit)
Sounds like you are using AdBlock Plus, which is not compatible with Pale Moon. I recommend removing it and instead using either ABPrime or Adblock Latitude, both of which target Pale Moon specifically.
